Reading Response

Second of Week #10

Chapter Six - Steering the Craft

I already talked about this in my first reading response but since I need another post and we didn't have any other reading assignment I figured I would post the exercise we did in class about the weather.

The Original - The breeze felt as if all the moisture in it was frozen. No more than sharp needles pounding, feeling as if they were slicing through reddened skin as swiftly as surgical tools. Twilight hung in the air, leaving the needle infested world dark and macabre. Silence was the only thing feeling the air, other than Mother Nature's frozen needles. No birds, no people, just the hollow feeling of devastation and the sound of rain drops hitting the pavement.

Professional -  The wind was exceptionally cold. Large cumulus clouds blocked the sun's rays, creating a twilight atmosphere. Which was most unexpected on an April afternoon in Georgia. The geographic location and ocean currents usually supply the West Georgia area with illuminating and warming sunshine but Mother Nature was obviously in disposed.

1920s Mobster - Hey, Tony! It's cold! Get me a freagin' jacket before I get soaking wet, will ya? Grab a freagin' umbrella too! What the hell do I pay you for!

12 - 13 year old - It's cold and wet... OMG! It's the perfect day for vampires! I <3 Edward Cullen!
