I love the matter-of-fact-ness of this quote. It just brings a smile to your face when you read it and that is something I hope to be able to do with my writing.
2. "If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there'd be peace." - John Lennon
I heart Lennon and this quote so it made the junkyard.
3. "The intention that man should be happy is not in the plan of Creation." -Sigmund Freud
In my opinion, Freud sums up humanity in this quote. Happiness is the unachievable because physically, emotionally, mentally humans are incapable of being happy with what they have. We always want what someone else has without wanting to work for it.
4. "Resist much. Obey little." - Walt Whitman
Whitman has a way with words that I just love. He has made simplicity a complex art.
5. "I want pancakes! God, do you people understand every language except English? Yo quiero pancakes! Donnez moi pancakes! Click click bloody click pancakes!" - Stewie Griffin
I could go into a rant about how awesome Family Guy is... but I will resist the urge. Stewie is an amazing character. A baby that is obsessed with killing his mother and ruling the world, the exact opposite of what most about associate with a baby. And that is why he is so amazing, he is something different and refreshing.
